One record per horse, not five spreadsheets
A horse record holds its sire and dam, breed, colour, date of birth, microchip and registration details, and everything that has since happened to it: treatments, vaccinations, farrier and dental visits, weights and measurements, training sessions, competition results and sales. A foal is linked to both parents the moment it is entered, so a bloodline is something you follow rather than something you reconstruct from paper.
Coverings, pregnancies and foaling
Record a mare's cycle, her coverings and the stallion used, and StudPulse works out the expected foaling date from the covering date. Pregnancies carry their ultrasounds and veterinary checks, and a mare whose pre-foaling examination has not happened is surfaced rather than remembered. Scans, lab results and invoices attach to the event they belong to instead of sitting in somebody's inbox.
Vaccinations, farrier and dental visits that do not get forgotten
Routine care repeats, so it is scheduled to repeat: recurring events for the farrier, the dentist and vaccinations, with push reminders 24 hours and one hour before. Bookings are resource-aware, so the same arena, horse or member of staff cannot be committed to two things at once.
Stalls, stables and who owns which horse
Stalls and stables are laid out as they are in the yard, and each horse sits in one. Ownership can be split into shares, so a horse owned by somebody else, boarded with you, and leased to a third person is three separate relationships the software keeps straight — and bills separately.
